Married; six children, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.


On November 14, 2024, Mr. Guthrie entered a plea of nolo contendere in Baltimore County Circuit Court to a charge of felony theft. He was removed from office on the County Council that day. His plea was accepted by the judge, who granted him probation before judgement with one year of supervised probation.
